Stellantis is looking to update and upgrade their vehicles and the expectations their fans have for their brands. As they go about improving their entire portfolio, they showcased their vehicles that have influxes the most at the Chicago Auto Show on February 9th, 2023. One largely important brand, Ram, offered their newest innovation in the form of an all-new concept, the Ram 1500 Rev. Though first reported as the Bev, the name change is now officially the Rev according to the brand at the CAS. Ram will help buyers get their first taste of an electrified experience when the pick-up arrives. Currently, Ram EV advancements have been found only via mild-hybrid engines in the phased out PHEV trim for the Ram 1500. The Rev is the answer to that run, Stellantis has amped the Jeep brand with the 4xe trim and powertrain options like the Hurricane powertrain. Both the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Grand Cherokee come available with the 4xe trim selection for the 2022 and 2023 model year.

Newest Engine Gains Praise

Moving ahead to new frontiers involving Stellantis and their focus on EVs, they secured investments and aim to promote new and powerful engines. Their recent expenditures helped make some of the vehicles found in the Ward’s Auto 10 Best list of the top 10 engines of 2022. Stellantis is proud of its new Hurricane powertrain with the success gathered in 2022. The culmination of this new engine has ushered in some praise including those at Wards Auto. The twin-turbo 3.0-Liter Hurricane powertrain is a landmark piece of technology and is found across many of the brands mentioned above made by Stellantis. consider the advancements Stellantis has also placed towards the Dodge brand and reviving the muscle car experience at the start of the century and moving ahead as it has so far this decade to build an electric muscle production car. As worthwhile and impressive as the brand moves is, this is a smart move as well to push towards adding their own EV platforms in an all-new generation of muscle cars and SUVs. We anticipate the Dodge Durango to hang around as an EV. The next generation arrival is just around the corner so there’s never been a more ample time to purchase Dodge vehicle than right now. We do know the 2023 Dodge Durango will return the SRT Hellcat trim that has been missing for a while.

The Dodge brand has crafted a new series known as the “Last Call” for buyers to get their hands on the new 2023 Dodge Charger and 2023 Dodge Challenger special editions coming out in a limited set. So far, we’ve gathered about six special edition rides available for customers in a short supply, as few as 200 or 300 vehicles were made depending on the vehicle. Dodge has earned the Kelley Blue Book’s Best Car Styling Brand Image award yet again! This is the same award by KBB for the 4th year in a row; this means Dodge is doing the right thing.

Dodge proclaimed this month they are moving on from V8 engines as they go towards their EV future that is arriving before long. Owners have their selection now to move into the current and modern Dodge rides like the Charger and Challenger before they are possibly gone forever. At least the next generation will be here, but these V8s will not. The gritty gasoline engine that have defined Dodge muscle cars; they are changing. Not that having an EV will lower the power or speed, but we know the burst will be different. Maybe they could be more smooth, but time will tell. The in-line engines have already replaced the HEMI V8s, but we expect to see more upgrades across the Dodge lineup this decade as the brand moves on a new path ahead in 2024 and beyond.
