Ram Shows Off New Night Edition For 2021 Ram 1500

Written By, Brad R

With less than one-third of 2020 left, the highlights of the 2021 Ram 1500 have been shown, but the debut is still ahead. Ram has offered new appearance packages and new trims to help everyone in waiting for the debut of the new 2021 model year. The next model year Ram 1500 introduces a new special edition, known as the Night Edition set to debut for when the 2021 Ram 1500 does arrive. Let's go over what has come out so far in 2020 for those who want to see about their current options, and we'll name what to expect for the new Ram pickup on its way.

Drive the New 2021 Ram 1500 Night Edition

The Ram 1500 Night Edition brings a dark-themed trim package for both the Big Horn and Laramie trims. The Night Edition kit comprises sports black bits on its grille, headlight bezels as well as badges. The large black-painted 22-inch wheels are also included with 20-inch black-painted rollers. The Night Edition package will cost $1,995 MSRP extra and the optional Big Horn Level 2 Equipment Group that will take on a 7-inch gauge-cluster screen with a sizable 8.4-inch touchscreen that works as a part of the infotainment system. Also added is the automatic dual-zone climate control setup.

As for the new Limited Night Edition, owners will gain the impressive Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio system, a Sport performance hood, power mirrors, Tri-Gold Tonneau Cover, and BSW all-season tires. The engine choices include the trusted 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque, a 5.7-Liter HEMI V8 with eTorque, the 3.0-Liter EcoDiesel V6. All of these engines will be matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The retail price will be around $60,45 MSRP (Plus destination fee) for the 2021 Ram 1500 Night Edition.

Built to Serve Edition Ram

The 2020 Ram 1500 added the Built to Serve Edition for an additional $2,795 and is offered with either the $1,300 Big Horn Level 1 Equipment Group or the $2,500 Big Horn Level 2 Equipment Group. Buyers will gain a stellar presentation that combines black bumpers, headlight bezels, side steps, grille, and badging to the pickup. Unique body-color fender flares and gray-painted 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires are also included. An elective four-wheel drive (for $3,500 extra) and the Built to Serve package also offers hardware that makes off-road traveling more possible with its heavy-duty rear shocks, stout tow hooks, and skid plates to shield the steering gear and transfer case. This all makes the Ram 1500 more attractive and stable in case an owner wants to go on roads less traveled.

The Built to Serve package includes the choice of four body colors including Ceramic Gray, Patriot Blue, Gator Green, and Diamond Black (both blue and black add $100 more to the tab). The former two hues emphasize an interior with blue cloth seat inserts and seat stitching, while the latter two offer gray cloth seat inserts and white stitching. These choices start at $42,480 MSRP. The 2020 Ram 1500 Built to Serve's interiors also bring front bucket seats, trim-specific badging, and a full-length center console for customers.

The North and Launch Edition

The North Edition returns for the 2020 model year after its first appearance last year in 2019. This Ram 1500 comes with four-wheel-drive and the Big Horn trim's Level 2 Equipment Group. At a price of around $48,580 MSRP, the North Edition adds bed-mounted "4x4" decals, heavy-duty front, an engine block heater, and rear shocks, and a set of 18-inch tires. The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition sold out almost immediately. It was priced at $92,010 and included the popular Level 2 Equipment Group. The brief run included just 702 pickups and sold out in just four hours after being available for customers. The Launch Edition produced some excellent features including beadlock-capable 18-inch wheels, red interior accents, carbon-fiber cabin trim, exterior graphics, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium audio system.
