As we quickly approach the 2016 model year, these upcoming muscle machines are sure to get your blood pumping.
That's right.
The Chevy Camaro, long defined by Chevy as a beast that eats Mustangs, is brand new for 2016 and a fearsome creature indeed.
Just how fearsome is up to you.
The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is rated at 270 horsepower, while the 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 is backed by 335 ponies. But the most powerful herd runs with 455, unleashed in a fury from the 6.2-liter direct-injection V8 engine.
Sharing the brand new Alpha platform with the Cadillac ATS, the new Camaro is reportedly 28 percent stiffer than its predecessors based on the Zeta platform.
Enhanced suspension and the most impressive interior ever seen in a Camaro are two more reasons to wait for winter of 2015, the estimated arrival in showrooms.
The MSRP is estimated to start at $24,000 and we think that is a steal of a sports car.
Structurally refreshed on the inside and outside, the Audi team will release the 2016 Audi R8 with an updated design and enhanced powertrains.
Equipped with the one and only 5.2-liter V10 engine, able to produce 532 or 602 horsepower, operated by a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the new Audi R8 will eventually come outfitted by an optional twin-turbo V8 engine.
Until then, this sports car, lighter by 110 pounds, is forty percent more rigid, making it quicker all around. Behind the wheel of 2016's Audi R8, you can dash from zero to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, and reach maximum speeds of 205 mph.
Ready to find its new home this fall, the 2016 Audi R8 starts at an estimated $150,000 - worth every penny.
Boasting the most powerful and fastest accolades of any Lotus that came before it, the 2016 Lotus Evora 400 houses a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine, rated at 400 horsepower, and projected to crush the zero to sixty test in 4.1 seconds.
Composed of mostly new materials - at least two-thirds of the car is brand new - the 2016 Lotus Evora 400 is lighter by fifty pounds and will come available for sale this fall to the tune of approximately $90,000.

Borrowing from the 911 Carerra S, this new powerhouse from Porsche is equipped with a 3.8-liter flat-six, zipping along at 375 horsepower, and taking only 4.3 seconds to conquer the zero to sixty mph mark.
The most powerful of its kind, this Spyder is strictly operated by a six-speed manual transmission.
Also borrowing the Carrera's brakes, this newly hatched Spyder's exterior, specifically the front and rear fascias, are reminiscent of the Cayman GT4.
Already available this summer, and still sporting the hand-folded soft top, now would be a good time to dig up approximately $83,000 and position yourself behind the wheel of this Porsche.
The latest rally cry from Subaru, the new BRZ, tuned by STI racing technology, won't be available until next summer. But, from what we know so far, it looks as though this Subaru will be worth waiting for.
Enhanced by a stiffer body and chassis braces, the Subaru BRZ has better steering, handling, and is reportedly a more comfortable ride.
As with earlier STI-inspired Subarus, the new BRZ is fine tuned with improved efficiency air intakes and exhaust, rear deck spoiler, Brembo brakes, and enlarged tires, wrapped in larger wheels - obviously.
The engine remains the same, the 2.0-liter flat four-cylinder, rated at 200 horsepower.
More affordable than most of these anticipated beauties, the 2016 Subaru BRZ will price at $35,000 to start.
Wrapping up where we began, it seems only fitting to conclude our preview with the latest offering from Ferrari.
New for 2016, the Ferrari 488 GTB sports a smaller engine, displaced by 488 cubic centimeters per cylinder, hence the 488GTB moniker.
More powerful than its predecessors, this pony gallops at 661 horsepower at 8,000 rpm compared to the 458 Speciale's 597 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, and is mated to a single transmission option, provided by the dual-clutch seven-speed.
Boosted torque measures at 561 lb.-ft. at 3,000 rpm, a vast improvement over the Speciale's 398 lb.-ft.
Selling for a whopping $242,737, some automotive industry experts, like the crew at Car and Driver, rank the new Ferarri 488GTB as Number One in the exotic sports car class.
No doubt Colonel Slade would agree…Oorah!
