By increasing the frequency, one can optimize an engine’s horsepower and fuel efficiency. Taking this into account, the 2018 Dodge Challenger R/T can generate 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, and has an acceleration time of 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds. R/T trims also came with some new upgrades, such as an upgraded suspension, tires, and brakes, and all R/T trims wore an R/T badge.

2018 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS

The Chevrolet Camaro comes in two body styles that can greatly increase its price, even if it’s the same trim. There’s also 2SS trims, but they also go for a pretty penny. Now that you know what we’re talking about, let’s look over the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS.

Fourth in the lineup, the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS as a coupe is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with direct injection and VVT. That’s a total of 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque that this engine can generate. We’ve already covered variable valve timing, but direct injection is another helpful process when designing an engine. Direct injection, also known as “gasoline direct injection” or “GDI”, is the delivery of highly pressurized fuel directly into an engine’s combustion chamber via its fuel line. This variation of fuel delivery can greatly increase an engine’s output, as seen clearly with the Camaro 1SS.

Like the 2018 Dodge Challenger R/T, the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro with 1SS comes with upgraded performance suspension, but can opt-in for “performance-tuned” suspension that places a larger focus on the dampers, springs, and stabilizers. Brembo front and rear performance brakes make up the braking system with 4-wheel antilock brakes to reduce lock up and Brembo 4-piston front and 4-piston rear fixed calipers for even the harshest break.
