NowCar Reason Love Chevy Traverse

Reasons to Love the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

Written By, Jordan R.

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is a mid-size SUV that offers consumers convenience but also a little luxury. Named the “Most Dependable Midsize SUV” in the 2018 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, the Chevrolet Traverse is a reliable choice. We decided to compile a list of reasons people love the Chevrolet Traverse, and why this SUV is a perfect choice for families, busy professionals, and others.

Taking Care of Errands

Life’s busy, we get it. That’s why the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse makes it easy to load, organize, and secure everything from groceries to heavy luggage. Picture yourself carrying several bags of what-have-you, approaching the trunk and realizing your keys are in your pocket. With the available hands-free liftgate feature, swiping one’s leg under the back bumper will cause the liftgate to automatically open. This makes great for easy loading of baggage.

Expecting more than just groceries? Maybe a consumer has bought the Chevy Traverse for their family of five and some of their kids are into sports and have lots of equipment. The Traverse midsize SUV offers up to 98.2 cubic-feet of space to store cargo and equipment, which is best in its class. Speaking of storage, if needing to keep some important items secure, the under-floor storage compartment in the cabin is a great place to hide items. In addition, whether it’s dirty sports gear or perishable groceries, leaving something in the back of the vehicle when you go inside can be a real bugger and lead to a smelly car, but the Traverse comes with an available helpful rear seat reminder that reminds drivers about objects in the back.

Keeping Safe on the Road

The size of SUVs can make drivers feel invincible, but no vehicle is too safe, and the 2018 Chevy Traverse offers several safety features. For varying driving conditions, the Traverse comes available with all-wheel drive. When opting for this drivetrain, the Traverse also comes with a traction mode select system. This system allows the consumer to switch between two-wheel drive with a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD), or all-wheel drive with a 4x4 drivetrain. If choosing to drive with FWD, the Traverse can offer its fuel efficiency by not sending power to both axles. If switching to the 4x4 drivetrain, consumers will have an easier time off-roading, navigating difficult road conditions, and when towing - the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse can tow up to 1500 pounds.

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse also comes with available advanced safety features. Consumers can opt-in for the available surround vision to get a bird’s-eye view of their vehicle, which makes it possible for them to see all around the vehicle from all angles angles. If not interested in that, there’s always the rear camera mirror. This is a really cool, convenient feature. Instead of just relying on the rearview mirror, use a rearview camera that displays a rear camera view in the rearview mirror. What a great idea! The 2018 Chevy Traverse is also available with lane keep assist with lane departure warning to help keep one’s car in their original lane, even when a little distracted.

While talking about all this technology, although not necessarily for safety, we thought it should be noted that the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse also comes with technology for entertainment. Available 4G LTE Wi-Fi, consumers can connect to the internet wherever they are by turning their Chevy Traverse into their own personal hotspot. In addition, with the standard Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, available on a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen display, consumers also get Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, both standard. This touchscreen also can slide away from the console to offer an additional USB port.

These are all wonderful features of the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, and one feature we just can’t forget is the seating capacity for eight passengers with easy access to the third row with an available smart slide second row. Can you name any other great things about the Chevrolet Traverse that you look for in an SUV? If looking to upgrade and get yourself a capable SUV like the 2018 Chevy Traverse, we always have vehicles in stock on NowCar.
