NowCar 2024 Chevy Blazer EV Debut

New 2023 Chevrolet Blazer Debut

Written By, Jordan R

We talked about some of the upcoming new electric vehicles (EVs) from Chevrolet, and the all-new all-electric 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV has entered the spotlight. When the Chevrolet Blazer first debuted, it was a super hit. Bringing back a favorite model into the modern day with upgraded features and tech is always a power play that pays off. So why not turn it into a green machine and release an all-electric version? With multiple trims and range options, the Blazer is going to blaze the path for upcoming Chevrolet electric lineup.

“The 2024 Blazer EV sets a new tone for electric SUVs, with options and intuitive technologies that help position Chevy for leadership in one of the fastest-growing EV segments…Along with the all-new Silverado EV and Equinox EV coming next year, we are making great strides in offering more choices for zero tailpipe-emissions vehicles — choices that make switching to an EV easier than ever.” - Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet

Lineup

Available in four trims - 1LT, 2LT, RS, and the SS performance model. The latter is a first for Chevrolet, and just about every automaker is promising a high-performance EV in the coming years. There is definitely some competition from a certain muscle car automaker floating around out there for a 2024 release as well. Then there is the pursuit-rated Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) model strictly available to police fleets. The standard power hasn’t been released, but the SS performance model features an exclusive performance all-wheel drive (AWD) propulsion configuration for a max output of 557 horsepower and 648 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 mpg acceleration record of 4 seconds (approximately).

Charging up and range are always one of the first things a consumer will query, and the 2024 Blazer EV can handle the punch. Depending on the trim, there is an available GM-estimated EV range of 320 miles on a full charge. Able to handle 11.5 kW level 2 (AC) charging, the Blazer EV also comes with DC public fast-charging capability (of up to 190 kW) standard. This allows it to add 78 miles of range in 10 minutes, as estimated by GM, depending on the trim. Look for this beauty in the summer of 2023, with a starting MSRP of $47,595 for the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV 2LT – but you can always find a better price when shopping online for a new Chevrolet from NowCar.

NowCar Chevrolet Blazer EV Appearance

Appearance

Going with a muscular look for the model, each trim has its own characteristics to standout. The LT trims come with a monochromatic appearance, whereas the RS breaks away with a sportier presence, featuring a black grille and black accents. The most aggressive aesthetic is of course the SS performance model, with a unique front grille, two-tone color scheme featuring a black roof and the A-pillars – that’s the part that lines up with the windshield – with 22-inch wheels standard.

Going for a bolder look, the RS and SS come with duel-element LED exterior lighting signature comes with a choreographed lighting sequence with a full light bar and illuminated Bowtie emblem making up the front fascia. Inside the cabin, Chevy goes for a more modern look to match the sporty appearance with a flat-bottom steering wheel in the RS and SS trims, with additional touches of inspiration. The high-end trims come with a huge 17.7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen as the command center of the vehicle. This is complemented by a large 11-inch-diagonal color Driver Information Center in the instrument cluster.

The cabin is spacious with storage options, soft-touch materials, and a two-row layout on a new platform for EVs, the Ultium Platform. On the RS and SS is standard ambient lighting, with the RS coming with blue and red contrasting stitching, and SS standing out with sueded microfiber seating and Adrenaline Red seating surfaces and available Argon Orange accents. Also featured on the RS and SS are heated and ventilated front seat standard.

Tech

Highlights for tech include a powered opening charge port door, a MyChevy app that features navigation to charging stations and route planning, one-pedal driving with regen braking, a presence-based liftgate available, and Super Cruise with hands-free driving, also available. There is also a nice collection of safety technogies, including Reverse Automatic Braking and Advanced Park Assist, and the new Chevy Safety Assist suite that comes standard with Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and IntelliBeam. Technically, running on a software platform, the new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer is as modern as it gets, and with the new Ultifi software, customers can upgrade and personalize their vehicle on a whole new level.
