Inspired Design

The 2015 GLA-Class may be a new vehicle, but Mercedes-Benz went to great lengths to ensure that it featured the perfect mix of design features from other successful models.

Design notes and features can be identified from the brand’s A-Class and CLA-Class vehicles, blending their basic principles to create an entirely new SUV. The 2015 GLA-Class was designed to stand out, fit anywhere, and be a true force on the road. 

The small size of the GLA-Class lends itself to exceptional fuel economy, driving flexibility, and fun behind the wheel. The overall body of the GLA is confident, strong, and at the same time, athletic in nature.

Curves, flared wheel arches, a rear spoiler, and chrome roof rails, help complete the look, while ensuring that the crossover always performs at its peak. 18-inch five spoke wheels come standard, along with privacy glass, and the iconic Mercedes-Benz chrome grille. 

With seating for up to five passengers and a rear cargo capacity of 17.2 cubic feet, with the rear seats in their upright position, the 2015 GLA-Class delivers just the right amount of space.

GLA250 - This base model has a low starting MSRP of only $31,300. Equipped with a 2.0-liter Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine, this crossover can pack a punch. Delivering 208 horsepower, and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, the GLA250 can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 7.2 seconds.

The 4-wheel drive suspension is independent and paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Drivers will delight in the standard shift paddles, and advanced electromechanical power steering.

• Comfort and Convenience - Loaded with standard features, this base model includes enough amenities to make driving a true comfortable experience. The 14-way power driver seat with a 4-way lumbar support and air conditioning with micron filtration ensure ultimate comfort behind the wheel. Rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power liftgate, a versatile cargo space, and split-folding rear seats, make the GLA250 convenient in all the right ways.
• Audio and Entertainment - A freestanding 5.8-inch color display is the focal point of the GLA250’s well-appointed cabin. • Safety - An important element in any Mercedes-Benz vehicle, the GLA250 features plenty of standard safety features. Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Attention Assist, mbrace, and a Smartkey system, are a small sampling of the included safety technology on the GLA250.

GLA45 AMG - This GLA model embodies the pure-performance aspect of the Mercedes-Benz Performance Racing Division, made known by the AMG badging. Featuring an handcrafted AMG 2.0-liter turbo inline four-cylinder engine, this powerhouse makes 355 horsepower, and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds. An AMG sport suspension, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and an AMG high-performance braking system, further set this model a apart from the GLA250. With a starting MSRP of $48,300, the GLA45 AMG comes standard with everything on the base model, and plenty of extras.

• Comfort and Convenience - As expected, the 2015 GLA45 AMG model comes with plenty of standard features. Unique Mercedes-Benz Tex/Dinamica upholstery covers seating surfaces, and both front seats feature 12-way power with 4-way power lumbar support. Ambient interior lighting and Sport seating are also included in this model. A 4.5-inch color instrument cluster display is included and keeps drivers informed of vehicle statistics in an easy-to-see, full-color digital display.
• Audio and Entertainment - The same basic entertainment amenities are included on the GLA45-AMG. The difference lies in the amount of optional features available, which include an 80GB hard-drive, a 7-inch color display, advanced voice control, and a Harman/Kardon Logic7 sound system, among others.
• Exterior - This high-performance variant features an AMG body styling with a unique double-crosswing grille, and 19-inch AMG twin five spoke wheels. Bi-Xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, and LED daytime running lamps, all work together, to ensure that you can see clearly regardless of exterior weather and road conditions.
