Soul EV Spreading Across the U.S.

2015 Kia Soul EV - Fully Electric Car

Kia has been working hard to enter into the electric-vehicle market, and has successfully done so with the all-new 2015 Kia Soul EV. The all-electric vehicle went on sale in California late last year, and is slated to hit showroom floors in Texas, Georgia, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii in just a few short months.

Consumers in each of the above five states will be able to purchase a Soul EV from their Kia dealer by early June. The states that will feature the Soul EV were chosen due to the high volume of publicly available charging stations. The Kia Soul will spread further later this year, with offerings in even more states.

The Soul EV is impressing both consumers and critics alike, winning the Canadian Green Car of the Year Award, and starts at just $33,700. On a single charge, the Soul EV can make it 93 miles, and packs in the power with 109 horses.

What makes it even more appealing, is that drivers can simply plug their Soul EV into any 120-volt outlet for convenient charging anywhere electricity can be found. The Soul EV also uses Kia’s regenerative braking system to further save energy, and electricity.
